This morning we got up to go back on the subway to go to some different areas and a big park. First we went to a little place called Barri Gotíc (Barcelona's Gothic Quarter). As soon as we got off the subway we saw this fancy bakery and I got a huge  merengue. After the merengue I was thirsty so I got a fruit smoothie. Both were delicious! Also there was a big church that was right in the middle of all the tiny shops. We kept on walking through all the narrow, winding streets to see if we could see anything up ahead.  Finally we stopped at a beautiful park! There was palm trees, grassy fields and big platforms you would stand under. The platform is called the Arc de Triomph...it's a mini version of the real Arc de Triomph in Paris.
After that we found out there was an even nicer park that was up ahead so we walked to it. It was the Parc de la Cuitadella.  Once we got there it was absolutely amazing! There was a humongous fountain with a giant gold statue of a man riding a horse at the top of it and a statue of a wooly mammoth that we took a picture with. Afterwards we went back to our place and had a rest before we went out for dinner with Dad's friend, Stan Tessmer and his family who were stopping here before a Mediterranean cruise. For dinner we first went to an old place where they do Flamenco dancing for some drinks and then after we went to a Mexican place for food. I had nachos and a caesar salad to eat. When everyone was finished we all said goodbye and went home to bed.
