Zaragoza

The surfing waves at San Sebastian

Waiting for the tide to roll in

This morning we were supposed to get up and go to Zaragoza but instead we stayed at the surfer beach for a couple of hours! The waves there were the biggest yet, so big that people were surfing! Unfortunately I couldn't go out to the REALLY big waves because of all the wild surfers. At the beach we built a hole that Tobin sat in until the tide washed him over! Then we went back into town quickly to get some more pintxos but instead me and Tobin got crepes and fruit smoothies while my parents ate pintxos across the street. After we drove to Zaragoza which took around three hours. Once we arrived we checked into our hotel and found a cool spa in the basement! At the spa there was a hot tub, massage table, sauna, steam showers with seats in them, a path with rocks that shot water on your legs and shower that sprayed hot and cool water at the same time! Also the shower in our room was cool because it had a radio in it so I could take a shower while listening to music! Just outside our hotel there was a humongous church called a basilica in a big square. It had interesting yellow and blue patterns on it. It was spectacular! At the other end of the square was a water sculpture with water falling down. Later that night the water was turned off and Tobin and I climbed up it! Afterward we spent time in the plaza, we went out for dinner at Kupola. I had fish and tortilla with bacalau. The people there weren't nice though because they tricked us! They tricked Daddy and charged him way more than they should have for the meal.  Just his steak was 60 euros! Afterwards we walked back to our hotel disappointed that we were tricked.  We decided to wander around in the huge plaza again and went for a gelato, even though it was midnight!  I had chocolate.  Then we went up to our room and went to bed.
