Today is a very special day.  It's my mom's birthday!!! For her birthday we left our hotel to go to Getaria on the north coast. It took two hours. Once we arrived we checked into our hotel, Saiazgetaria, and mom opened her wonderful birthday present from me, a painting of her and me hiking. She loved it! Our hotel is so beautiful because there's an amazing view of the whole ocean right out the window! After a quick rest we walked from our hotel to go to the beach. The beach was very fun. The waves were so big! I would play this game were I'd be up to my waist and then the wave would come and I'd let it knock me over and push me onto the shore. It was a little painful but worth it even though no one would play because they said they would get hurt but I didn't think so! After the beach we walked through the town to a little island called the Mouse. Well, the Mouse isn't an island anymore because it is connected by a walkway.  In the Mouse we stopped for dinner and I had patatas bravas and Spanish tortilla (eggs,cheese and potatoes put together). Afterwards we walked back to our hotel and stopped at a candy store! I got a Twix bar and some different cool kinds of gum I'd never tried before. Once we got back my mom and dad went out for dinner and me and tobin stayed home and watched T.V. They got home an hour and a half later and we all went to bed.
