Star at the center

Violetta and Carlos, the smallest sloth babies

The sweet and gentle agouti

Star and I feeding Stanley
This morning were in the sloth garden. But today we have another volunteer helping us! Her name is Star and is 14. Star is from the other side of Costa Rica, in Drake Bay, but her family owns a dive shop in Manzanillo and is staying at her dive shop while she volunteers. Today Poldo kept jumping over the fence so Star and I had to take him out for a walk. We also did all the jobs that I explained about in my last blog! Later in the day we found out one of the squirrels had died:(! I wasn't too sad though because I had no idea we had a squirrel until it died! For a special treat because it's our weekend off we are staying at one of the top five tree house lodges in the world! After work we took a taxi to Punta Uva and checked in. The place is so giant and is actually built out of trees! There's an upstairs and a downstairs. To get upstairs you have to walk up a hanging bridge! For dinner we walked to a place called Selvyns that serves Caribbean food. Our dinner was sooooo yummy, especially the brownie I had for dessert! Unfortunately we were sitting under a lamp that had a bee nest and I got stung by two bees! We walked back from dinner and I ran into bed (by the way I have a double bed to myself, YESSSSSSS :)!
