Celebrating Mom's Birthday

Walking through the old town of Ischia

Happy birthday, Mum!!!

Aragonese Castle
Today is the day we must leave our apartment in Rome:((((((((((. I will miss that cozy, perfect place A LOT!!! We had to get up early and take an hour train to get to Naples, then a two hour ferry to the island of Ischia. As soon as the ferry left I closed my eyes and went to sleep and right when we got to Casamicciola Terme, I woke up! Talk about perfect!! The hotel we're staying at is right near the ferry so we just walked there and went straight into their pool!! Wait, I just remembered we actually got this amazing pizza first that was to die for. It was so good! Anyways, the pool is overlooking these pretty pink villas and it's just so stunning!! In the pool Tobin and I made up some very interesting games like this one where I laid on the floaty and he pushed me around like a taxi driver but I just kept flipping him when he went on the floaty (when it's supposed to be calming). So funny!! Oh my! How I could I forget?!!! Today is also a VERYYYY special day because it's mum's birthday. Everyone take a minute to sing her happy birthday! She loved the ring Tobin and I got her and her homemade cards!!!! The chocolate ended up being a little sketchy and stale so we just said it was "vintage" lololololol!!!! For a special birthday dinner we took the bus (which on the way there was nice but a whole other story on the way back) to this small little town called Ischia.  We walked all along the water until we got to this little restaurant right at the bottom of Aragonese Castle!!! The castle was on this island at the end of a boardwalk and the restaurant was right on the boardwalk surrounded by water. Also it was a blue moon tonight so it made the evening 100 000 times more special. The restaurant we ate at is known for their fish and is considered one the best fish places in all of Italy!! We ordered a whole huge fish and the waiter cut it up right in front of us. It was the best fish I had ever had!!!!!!! Also we got these mouth-watering gnocchi balls that I'm craving right now just thinking about. For dessert we got tiramisu and hazelnut chocolate cake!! Man oh man, I'm so hungry now!!!!!! The dinner and setting was a ten out of ten and one of the best on the trip. Ok...now for the crazy bus story. To get home we needed to take a bus (which we didn't know where to catch but it was the only way we knew how to get home) so we just found a bus stop that had a lot of people at it. It was around 11 pm at night and we waited at the bus stop for almost an hour!!! Nothing came. Finally some police man told us the road was closed off so we had to walk up the hill to another bus stop. So this huge mob of people walks up the hill to the next bus stop. We waited for another 20 minutes and no sign of any bus!! I wish people brought out their pitchforks and started an angry mob to track down any bus, I would've loved that!! Finally around midnight a bus decided to show!! Since there were so many people we were squished in there like sardines!!!!! We thought this was the end to our pain but no, the bus dropped off us at another bus stop so we could transfer. Then that bus decided to come but then leave us stranded and then come back again!!!! What a beauty!!! Oh and all these buses were free. That's my type of bus ride!!!!! Once the bus actually took us home we went to bed!!! Haha goodnight and creep it real-mimirockzzz king Julian
