| Sant'Angelo - so pretty! |
Mmmmmmmm....it's so nice to wake up to free food - my absolute favorite thing ever!!! This morning at the buffet they had CREPES and you could put Nutella on them!! I had three of course, along with toast, eggs and a lot of FRUIT ;)))))))!!!!! We went into the pool for a bit after breakfast before bussing to a little town called Sant'Angelo.
The bus ride there was around an hour and it was so beautiful. It's was like a professional tour of the island on a bus because we got to drive along the ocean and past all the little villages and just take in the beauty of Ischia while being on the bus!!!
Once we got to Sant'Angelo, we had to hike down to the town because there are no cars allowed. On the walk there we stopped and got gelato. I got the most DELICIOUS lemon gelato that was so creamy and lemony.
To get to the black sand beach we took this tiny water taxi that dropped us off on the shore. Unfortunately there was no tubing allowed on this boat - I wish!!!!! The beach was huge and stretched for two kilometers, so Tobin and I ran along the whole long beach. Well actually Tobin did and I just kind of stopped after 5 seconds and jumped into the water. At the black sand beach I would say it was more like a brown sand beach. It wasn't very black but that was fine by me!!! In the water I, of course, went swimming with my goggles (or should I say husband) but they disappointed me because they fell off and this huge wave came and went straight up my nose and it felt like I ate a whole bag of salt!!! This is why I must always wear my goggles!!!!! I also just laid in the water while a big wave came and then when it came I just let it smack me and go over my head because I find this very fun for some reason!!!!!!
On the beach we got some food and they brought it out right to the chairs we were laying on and it was tomato pasta and it was so,so, so good!! Let me tell you, I've had many pastas on the trip and this was one of the best yet!!!! We also ordered a smoothie but when it came out it was just these huge plates overflowing with fruit and trust me that was still ok because it was so ripe and good (especially the cantaloupe)!!!!! I read my book for a bit (which is called "Flowers in the Attic") and then the boat came back to bring us back to the town (still no tubing!!). We walked back through the town (and mum and dad stopped for the longest time at this wine store) to make it back to the bus stop.
We took the hour bus back home and once again I was amazed by the beauty of Ischia!!!! All the little restaurants, narrow side streets, people riding on motorcycles and the unique statues and buildings along the water looked incredible from our view on the bus as the sun started to set.
Back at the hotel we only had little time to get ready because we went straight to this free Turkish bath thing we had booked at our hotel. The manager at the hotel led us into this spa room and showed us how to work everything by ourselves!! First we went into this detox sauna with natural herbal essences that was super hot but really good for your body. Next came these really nice showers where you got all the minerals off you. Then we went into this "hot tub" that was actually sort of cold and looked like milk (I think because of the natural minerals)!!! I was tempted to get some frosted flakes and dump then in the hot tub to make a huge cereal bowl that I could swim in and eat!!!!! We did this circuit twice and during the whole time, there was relaxing spa music playing!
For dinner dad and I picked up some salad and pasta from the great restaurant next door and ate it in our room because everyone was so tired. Tobin and I only went out again for a little bit to get some FROZEN YOGURT with white chocolate on top and TONS of sprinkles!!!!!! After that we came home and went to bed!!!
Ciao folks and creep it real-mimirockzzz king Julian
