| Walking in to the school |

| Grade 2! (But just for a few minutes in the morning) |
Today we start public school!!! We are going to the school in Comunidad to learn what school is like in Costa Rica and to practice our Spanish. We got there at 7:30 and they put Tobin and I both in the Grade 2 class until recess (it was okay though because recess was in 10 minutes)! At recess I played with the Grade 6s on the playground and explained to them who I was and my name. Then we all sat back down again in class and before I knew it, it was recess...again! After that recess we had lunch but Tobin and I noticed that all the kids were leaving. It turns out they have all the kids leave at lunch and then a whole different group of kids come in! Where you eat they have this concession stand where you can get ice cream for only 20 cents. Of course we had to try it! When the other group of kids came in it was recess (of course) and we played volleyball. They didn't really know how to play it, so I had to teach them! Also in recess they played tag and 40-40. There wasn't too much learning done but it was fun having recess every few minutes! Once we were finished our first day of school (which ended at 2:30), we came home and chilled there for the rest of the day. At our house whenever I say we chilled I mean we played in the pool, played with puppies, and stuff like that. For dinner mom just cooked and then we went to bed.
