Volunteering at the clinic

The clinic was held in an empty building. They just set it up for a day of neutering and spaying!

Today we helped out the SPCA in Coco Beach! C.A.R.E. (Coco Animal Rescue and Education) has program where all the people in Coco can bring in their cats or dogs and they are spayed or neutered for free. My job was to calm the cats or dogs down after their operations and pick ticks off of them. We also cleaned their ears, clipped their nails and put flea and tick medicine on them. Some of the animals were really clean but there were some that were covered in ticks! There was one really cute and super tiny puppy who was brought in. It was found on the beach and the lady who found it got to keep it for free! The only thing I didn't like about it was that they performed the operations on the puppies and kittens right in of us! I didn't watch but sometimes I saw it and it was gross!  After helping out there we came home and went swimming in the pool. For dinner that night we had Pad Thai with Sandra and some other new guests that had arrived, Lori and John. Afterwards we went to bed.
