Catchin' waves at Playa Avellanas

Lola!

Mia + Mia
Today we went to Playa Avellanas, a faraway beach. To get there we had to take a bumpy ride down a dirt road called "The Monkey Trail" and drive through five rivers! When we were at the beach we took surf lessons. At first I was a little scared but Mauricio, our instructor, told me I was really good and he took me out to the huge waves. I ended up really enjoying it and can't wait to do it again! When we were finished we met Mauricio's little 6-year old and her name is Mia too! Also there was a open-air restaurant on the beach called Lola's that was really delicious and they had a humongous live pig. It was super fat! There was a bunch of little kids at the beach and we all played hide and go seek. We ended up driving home in the dark, because we stayed at the beach the whole day!
